What We’re Looking For

Source is looking for a Purchasing Project Manager to lead project purchasing, communicate with clients, work with our trusted vendors, and manage multiple projects from early stages through installation and completion. This role will help to implement new and innovative ways to purchase FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) while streamlining the process and saving time and resources. 

The position is a full time, salary, remote role and can be located anywhere within the United States.

The salary range for this role is $95,000-$110,000 per year.

Objectives of this Role

  • Work with internal teams and local/national architects, designers, owners, and contractors to successfully budget, purchase, deliver and install FF&E for small to large commercial, hospitality, housing or various projects.

  • This requires ensuring you work within strict budgets, project schedules, and design visions.

  • You will be responsible for managing the successful outcomes of a range of projects at one time that vary in scope and size.

  • Effectively and efficiently manage between $35-$55 Million dollars in purchases in various phases of the process from initial budgeting all the way to punch list/closeout with limited oversight from a Project Director.

Responsibilities

  • From project kickoff, work closely with internal or external specification requirements to ensure specs are staying within budget and within design constraints/vision. Identify priorities of each individual project with team members.

  • Audit all specifications and floorplans and work with designer/architect to identify any clarifications

  • Work with local and national vendor representatives to confirm and pricing / lead time information not available on Source platform

  • Work with internal teams to keep vendor pricing up to date on the platform for brands that we have uploaded

  • Work within Source platform to automatically generate Specification Sheets for Designer and Client sign off

  • Determine Logistics / Warehousing plan per project

  • Generate Purchase Orders, review all Invoices, and work with Accounting team to pay all vendors in a timely manner

  • Process any change orders as needed

  • Solidify project timeline and document all estimated delivery dates

  • Ensure timely signoff on any necessary sample/finish submittals

  • Work with your project team & coordinators to track all orders regularly to ensure accurate and transparent timeline

  • Work with Installation Manager to determine onsite installation dates and requirements

  • Work with Installation Manager on punch list items post-installation

  • Communicate regularly with client and team to provide project status and any updates

  • Closely track budget and ensure all changes are appropriately communicated

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture, Project Management, or related field.

  • 4+ years work experience in related field/position

  • Computer Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Suite, Quickbooks, Procurement Software a plus

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Independently oversee and manage large complex projects

  • Effectively work with both internal and external team members - strong interpersonal and problem solving skills

  • Proactively react and respond to any project concerns or issues

  • Familiar with commercial interior products and proficient in reading architectural floor plans and specifications

  • Meet strict and demanding deadlines on a regular basis
